Diary belonging to Jane Smith Easton. She records her address in on the first page as 204 Broadway, Newport, Rhode Island. The diary chronicles her voyage overseas starting in August 1907. She writes of visiting many countries with friends including Portugal ("the Azores"), Spain (Gilbralter), Italy (Naples, Genoa, Pisa and Florence). She mostly describes what she sees including museums and the local people she encounters.
The journal is seemingly incomplete. Easton collected stationery from hotels and they are inside the back cover. There is also a swastika made of gold paper with her name on it tucked inside the pages.
