A notice regarding a petition made to the Newport City Board of Aldermen related to potential chages to Ledge Road. Nearby property owners are identified as "Elbridge T. Gerry, Estate of Mary Bell, Estate of Mary A.R. O'Brien, Oliver H.P. Belmont, [and] Alva E. Belmont". The Belmonts were proposing the abandonment of a section of Ledge Road running through their property, Belcourt. All affected parties were advised to attend a meeting to voice their concerns in October 1907.
